Urban Cross at IX

40 foot long SAND PIT!?!?!?!? WTF?
For real tough, it was BAD ASS! not just the sand, the whole race. it had almost all the elements cross can have, besides mud and water. i do have to say that there were some awesome wipe outs in the sand, which earned them an appropriate piece of chocolate from what's his name, who plays Steve Miller Band, and Fleetwood Mac at the races(what?).

it was nice to see future Darden Towe star (and current prez.) Eric Flecher, holding it down as the official. it wouldn't happen without him. thanks eric!

the whole race was like the obstacle course in Elementary school Gym class. the competition was good and most of the fields had a decent number of riders. Bill was out there photographing the whole thing check it out: buffalo2step.com

this was one of the more fun cross races i've been to. it's so compacted into that small space that it makes the spectating that much better for the spectators and the riders (the sand pit helped too).
